A specialist shot with no visual cues to the appearance of the train on the bridge. Class 66/5 No. 66501 crosses the substantial bridge over the A338 High St in Hungerford with the late afternoon empty stone wagons returning from Acton to Merehead Quarry on 7th October 2020. The wide span 19th Century lattice girder bridge had to be upgraded to cope with heavy trains and 25 tonne axle-loads of the stone traffic from the Mendip quarries.
