The Elztalbahn is a Black Forest branch line off the main Frankfurt-Basel route. Light centre-cab diesel-hydraulic B-B Class 212 No. 212076-4 stands at the upper terminus at Elzach ahead of its next departure. The scene is completed by the characteristic architecture and clock, with a waiting fleet of red MAN buses serving the village communities in the area on 15th August 1986.
