Overnight flooding on 23rd May 2024 caused major disruption to services at Carlisle Citadel Station, with services terminated or cancelled. One such service was the Varamis Rail parcel service comprising two Class 321 units as seen here, with Nos. 321429 and 321407. They had been working the 23.50 parcel service from Birmingham International to Mossend, which was terminated at Carlisle at 03.43: 22 minutes late. Waiting in platform 1 to the left, is an unidentified Trans Pennine Express Class 397, waiting to depart with the 13.34 service from Carlisle to Manchester Airport.
