Dubai Road Transport Authority operates eleven Alstrom Citadis 402 44 metre trams on its 10.6 Km route from the Dubai Marina area to Al Sufouh. Seen at the Dubai Marina Mall Station on 25th May 2015 with a northbound service for Al Sufouh is No. 008 in an all over advertising livery for the 2015 Dubai Art Season. All stations are fully enclosed with full height glass doors that align with the doors on the tram, essential for passenger comfort given the extremely high temperatures experienced in Dubai. Note also the total lack of overhead power equipment for the trams. Instead the APS 11 catenary-free power supply system is used providing power through the third rail in the centre of the track with overhead power collection only being used within the confines of the Al Sufouh Tram Depot. At the moment Dubai has the only system outside of France to use this method of power supply.
