Class 101 DMBS No. 51469 is seen awaiting departure time from Ardrossan Harbour Station, Strathclyde, Scotland on 3rd May 1978 with a Boat Train service to Glasgow Central Station. The other 2 coaches, also Class 101, were TCL No. 59557 and DMCL No. 51536 and were marked as Set No. 172. All had been refurbished in the revised white/blue stripe livery earlier that year. The River Clyde can be seen through the archway in the red wall towards the right hand side of the image. All three vehicles in the unit were withdrawn during 1987 with the power cars being scrapped at MC Metals Glasgow in 1988, while Mayer Newman, Snailwell disposed of the centre car in 1987.
