In faded Departmental Grey Livery dual braked Class 08 No. 08401 is stabled in Immingham Reception Sidings on 27th August 2003. She carries a 40B, Immingham MPD, shedplate transfer on her cabside but has lost the silver BR double arrow motif from her bodyside. Of note are the different buffers carried with the narrow shank variety at the front and wide shank ones at the rear. Built at BR Derby Works she entered service in May 1958 as No. D3516 and was withdrawn six months after this image was taken during February 2004. Later sold for Industrial use, by April 2014 she was operating at Barton-under-Needwood, Staffordshire.
