Just like in the early days of railways in the 19th century, passengers in the early preservation era find themselves sitting on benches in open wagons on the demonstration line at Quainton Railway Centre on 26th May 1975, with GWR 0-6-0 Pannier tank No. 7715 (also former London Transport No. L99) in charge. Perhaps some of the children enjoying the steam experience are now taking their own children, or even grandchildren, for steam rides under modern day preservation.
