Heavy freight trains are able to operate again after concerns over track stability following two days of record high temperatures. A rather grimy heavy-haulage Class 66/6 No. 66610 is in charge of an East Usk Yard to Hayes and Harlington stone train making good speed crossing Hungerford Common on 20th July 2022. Signal TR856 is normally kept to red, protecting the level crossing in the town, but has cleared for an approaches down GWR IET service just about to burst on the scene.
