Ironic that No. 59201, the flagship of Freightliners Class 59/2 fleet, has retained its old DBC colours whereas most of the others now show with the classy G&W orange and black livery, although in this case the paint job has stood the test of time. The loco is returning 40 discharged stone wagons from Theale sidings to Whatley Quarry, one of the few weekend workings of the regular stone traffic and seen here powering through Hungerford on 14th January 2023 after the mornings heavy rain has cleared to the east.
