Class 50 No. 50039, not yet Implacable, brings a down express for Penzance by the box at the east end of the platform at Liskeard on 3rd April 1978. The line diverging to the left curves round and under the distant viaduct linking at Coombe junction with the route to Moorswater and, by reversing, the branch to Looe. Access to the main line was mainly used by china clay traffic to Fowey docks as the Looe branch has its own terminus at Liskeard.
