Class 50 No. 50027 'Lion' has just run by Hinksey yard and encounters Class 47/0 No. 47063 traveling south by Osney cemetery on 21st November 1981. The southern approach to Oxford is six tracks wide here underneath Osney Lane footbridge, later reduced to just three, and the two on the left already see little activity.
