Class 33/0 No. 33065 is making its way back to Fawley with the discharged tanks from Thame oil Depot on 8th December 1981. That year saw some severe winter weather before Christmas and here in the Chilterns at High Wycombe a fresh overnight fall of snow is still clinging to the trees. With a good covering on the ground as well, the camera is having a tough job getting a well-balanced exposure. The space left when the west signal box was demolished is now occupied by two equipment cabinets.
