Seemingly just stabled awaiting its next duty, this Class 24/1 No. 24121 had been withdrawn from its Haymarket MPD base during December 1976. Inverness had been its home for many years as can be seen by the twin headlights plated over on the cab front and the cab recess on the far end where the tablet catching equipment would once have been fitted for working the lines in the north of Scotland. Disposal was completed at Doncaster Works in May 1978.
