Having just eluded the camera earlier on at Little Bedwyn, today's Merehead Quarry to Colnbrook aggregates is nearing Kintbury on the Kennet floodplain, still accelerating after a lengthy layover at the loop on Hungerford Common on 10th October 2022. This is another case of double-heading a loaded train, which practice was infrequently seen until recently. Class 66/4 No. 66413 'Lest We Forget' and Class 59/2 No. 59201 make a striking combination in the bright autumnal sunshine. The G&W orange livery carried by the former looks lighter than that applied later to stablemates of the Class 59/2.
