It is a cliché to portray a locomotive in its final months of service in a sunset setting, but it was a time when you took shots of Westerns wherever and whenever. In this case a grimy-looking D1068 'Western Reliance' is captured emerging from Dainton Tunnel with a mixed goods as the light fades on a sunny 23rd April 1976.
