No shortage of rail infrastructure on show from the west of Castle Cary where the Yeovil line turns south. An unidentified HST storms through with a down express on 10th April 1982. The wartime junction box of GWR ARP design (but probably not painted hi-viz white in those days!) is a distinctive feature. It was to be the last operational example of an ARP box until it was closed in February 1985 having been built to replace a box destroyed by bomb during WW2.
