Class 47/4 No. 47519 accelerates away from Arpley Yard Warrington on 2nd June 1997. Although operated by Rail Express Systems she is in BR dual green livery complete with a lion and wheel emblem on the bodyside and original No. D1102 on the rear cab side. Entering BR service in September 1966 from York MPD she was allocated to Toton TMD at the time of this photo. The following year would see a final move to Bescot TMD prior to being stored unserviceable during March 1999. Withdrawn in April 2004 No. 47519 was scrapped by T J Thomson at their Stockton-on-Tees Yard during October 2005.
