Unnamed Class 50 No. 50004 has been brought in from the LMR to cover the run down of Western diesel hydraulics on the WR. This one has picked up the habit of displaying its number on the redundant head-code panel, soon to be replaced by the two white dots with the loco given a shiny new name 'St Vincent'. It is seen here approaching Sonning Cutting with a short down express on 7th November 1976.
