Situated in the northwest of Bulgaria on the main line from Mezdra to Vidin lies the town of Brusartzi. The station provides an interchange for passengers wishing to travel to the town of Lom situated on the south bank of the Danube River. In this scene on 16th April 2017, Easter in Bulgaria, main line and branch services connect. Class 45 Skoda No. 45175 has previously arrived off the branch from Lom and run round its coaches ready to work the return service. Skoda Class 44 No. 44 155 arrives from Sofia. destination Vidin, the latter also to be found on the banks of the mighty River Danube. Visible in the far left of the picture is an area where a number of RVR Class 32 and Class 33 EMUs have been put into long term storage following withdrawal from front line passenger service. A most interesting location indeed.
