Standard gauge Tram Route 23 was opened on 17th February 2010 to serve the Districts of Druzhba 1 and Druzhba 2 in the southeastern quarter of the City of Sofia. Original plans were to extend the line further south but as is clearly evident in this view, that never happened. Therefore, with the absence of a turning loop Bi-directional tram cars are required to change direction on arrival at Obikolna Street, Druzhba. Duewag GT8 Pendel tram No. 4410 is recorded at the end of the line in Druzhba on 25th March 2025, recorded mid-way through the reversing manoeuvre.
