Captured on the standard gauge section of the Sofia tram network, Duewag GT8 Pendel Tram No. 4405 is recorded working Route 23 from Obikolna Street to Geo Milev. Image was taken on 22nd March 2024 at 28-MI Poshtenski Klon, the point where Line 23 joins Line 20, the latter to/from Gara Iskar and the standard gauge Iskar Tram Depot. The GT8s are the only bi-directional trams in Sofia which despite their age continue in service because of the dead-end nature at the end of LINE 23 at Obikolna Street. All other routes in the capital have end of line turning loops.
