BZK (Bulgarian Railway Company), part Bulgarian/part Romanian owned private sector operator continue to use their fleet of British exported Class 87 Electrics on a variety of duties. Here, at Voluyak 87-020 in company with Rolling Stock-liveried Class 40 Electoputere No. 400-553 have concluded operations and are captured on departure to the Iliyantsi stabling point. Iliyantsi is now the preferred stabling point for the BZK Class 87 and 40 electrics although it appears that many, most or possibly all of the former still carry the Pirdop allocation in white lettering below the cab side windows. Image recorded on 24th March 2025.
