Possibly the most aesthetically boring EMU's ever produced are the Bombardier/Alstom Type AM96 3-car units constructed between 1996-1999 for SNCB (Belgian National Railways). Set No. 508 gets underway from Bertrange/Strassen on 30th December 2016 with a local working from Luxembourg to Arlon. The somewhat unusual front end design is based on the successful 'rubber nose' of the Danish IC3 DMU's.
