Howald Gare, (Howald Rail Station) is set to become a major inter-change stop on the Luxtram system. When this image was taken on 7th August 2025 only one track was operational across the bridge that spans the main railway line from Luxembourg into France. Re-construction and expansion of the CFL station was well under way albeit closed to all rail traffic between Luxembourg City and Bettembourg with bus replacement services in place. When completed this location will take some of the strain off of Luxembourg Central station, especially at peak times. CAF Tram Car No. 123 departs with a westbound service to Stadion.
