CFL Luxembourg Depot on 7th August 2025. Refurbished Class 2200 Electric Multiple Unit Set No. 2208 is on shed between duties along with two other examples visible in the distance. With no trains working north out of Luxembourg City and the main line south into France closed for reconstruction as far as Bettembourg more EMUs are present then one would normally expect to see during a working day. The first batch of double-deck Class 2200 units have been refurbished at the SNCF Technicentre at Saint-Pierre-des-Corps in France. The remainder of the twenty two strong fleet will follow in due course, the revised livery similar to that applied to the new ALSTROM Class 2400/2450 EMUs which also sits very well upon these twenty year old units.
