Following the introduction of CFLs new Class 2400/2450 EMUs on the Luxembourg Central to Arlon route the Class 3000 electric locos have lost their remaining passenger duties. During April ten members of the class, 3016, 3014, 3005, 3015, 3008, 3007, 3013, 3011, 3010 and 3009 were hauled to Wasserbillig for storage due to a lack of siding space at Luxembourg Depot. All ten locos are pictured here on a single siding in the yard just south of the station. The image was captured from a passing Wasserbillig to Luxembourg Central passenger service, only possible through the opening windows of one of the few remaining Class 2000 EMU sets that was in use on the day on 6th August 2025.
