Former UK Channel Tunnel Class 92 freight locomotive 92030 'Ashford' now operating in Bulgaria and renumbered as Class 88 No. 88-030 pulls into Karlovo on the sub-Balkan line in central Bulgaria on 5th September 2022. The ultimate destination for this DB Cargo BG rake of box wagons is unclear but likely to be heading for Pirdop. The DB Class 56 shunter just visible on the far right of this scene will add an additional eight similar wagons to the rear of the already lengthy consist. Little has changed externally with this and the other three examples since they were imported into Bulgaria. Even the names and British Rail logo have been retained and where 88-030 is concerned, even the original paintwork by all accounts!.
