Covid-19 had decimated passenger numbers throughout the rail network in 2020 with the South Western Railway franchise being no exception with services reduced to a just two hourly frequency into Exeter. on a beautiful 15th May 2020, SWR-liveried Class Nos. 159020 and 159001 sweep up hill past the former Seaton Junction station building working the 15:10 Salisbury to Exeter Central service. Most daytime workings were terminating short at Central station instead of Exeter St.Davids.
