A small number of Class 06 diesel locomotives remain active with BDZ TP in Bulgaria like this example captured at Voluyak on 12th May 2023. The 130 strong class was introduced in small batches between 1966 and 1975 from the Romanian Electroputere company in Craiova. They still retain their distinctive 'whiskers' design not dissimilar to the style carried by the Rhodope Mountain narrow gauge railway Class 75 and 77 diesels. Class 55 No. 55 131 waits to pilot 06128 back to Sofia on completion of the days shunting duties at Voluyak. Note the red plastic card that has been inserted over the headlight to make a tail-light!.
