Private Bulgarian operator TTL have acquired this interesting diesel locomotive to perform its shunting duties at Iliyantsi Yard, Sofia. Originally numbered 741-522 when in the Czech Republic, following the homologation tests in Bulgaria it has somewhat surprisingly been classified by the Bulgarian Railway Administration as Class 51 No. 51-522. The locomotive quickly acquired the nickname Chernyo (Blacky) and has replaced the usual Ganz Mavag 51-150. The latter will not be completely retired from service but it will be used less often. The technical stuff; Bo Bo Class T448.0 and built by CKD in Praha Czech Republic. Weighing in at 72 tones it has a top speed of 90kmh. Pictured at Iliyantsi Yard on 4th October 2023.
