Barely daylight and road traffic into Sofia is already building. Heading in the opposite direction is Class 44 SKODA No. 44-109 captured at Kumaritsa, heading away from the mayhem with FAST train service 2611 Sofia-Sever to Varna. The newly erected fencing seen to the left is to prevent locals taking a short cut across the tracks to visit the local shops. This prohibitive fencing complete with CCTV runs all the way to Kumaritsa road crossing/station, continuing for about a further mile to the southern perimeter of the town. The concrete and metal monstrosity ends as abruptly as it begins so allowing this image to be recorded from a familiar vantage point on 25th September 2024.
