The Sofia tram network is as diverse as the Bulgarian main line railway system, trams running in several different liveries carried by a variety of different design types. The extensive system is also notable for using two different gauges, mainly narrow gauge track with some standard gauge. The latter is used on lines 20, 21, 22 and 23. Coupled Tatra T6A5 tram cars 4158 and 4159 are captured here exiting Bulevard Sitnyakovo into Bulevard Madrid while working ETS (Empty Tram Stock) from the standard gauge tram Depot at Iskar prior to some rush hour working on Route 22 . Image recorded at Gara Poduyane on 23rd October 2024.
