During 1995 a number of tram cars were sourced from Bonn in Germany for the Sofia network. Forty six standard gauge cars of various types were acquired. The second-hand acquisition included 14 X Duewag T4 open-plan with 9 x matching trailers, 13 X GT82 Bi-directional articulated and 10 X GT6 articulated trams. From the latter, Duewag GT6 Car No. 4233 with matching trailer car is captured in the heart of the city at Tsentralni hali running westbound on Route 22 to Krasna Polyana. This route is now worked by former Prague Tatra T6A5/III tram cars which replaced the aging Duewags after they had given just over 20 years of good service to the people in the city of Sofia.
