Just a few weeks before the South Western Railway franchise returns to public ownership SWR DMU's Class 159 No. 159006 and Class 158 Set No. 158884 are captured on passing Abbey Gate on 5th April 2025. The five-car formation was working (09:50) London Waterloo to Exeter St.Davids. Due to weekend engineering work this service was re-routed after Salisbury to run via Westbury, Castle Cary and Yeovil Pen Mill, rejoining the West of England main line at Yeovil Junction. Amazingly, after many years a number of SWR units are still wearing the livery of the previous franchise operator, South West Trains!.
