Roughly mid-way along the Bulgarian Radomir to Kjustendil branch lies the small town of Zemen, flanked at both the western and eastern sides by high ground. Zemen station sees opposite direction passenger services booked to pass here on this single line branch. Delivered in 2002, a batch oClass 10 DMU sets were acquired to replace ageing diesel loco-hauled trains, two of which are captured here at Zemen on 21st June 2018. on the left, Class 10 No. 10015/10 016 is assigned to a Kjustendil to Radomir suburban service while on the right 10 008/10 007 has charge of the opposite direction service from Radomir to Kjustendil, the latter at the extreme SW border with Serbia.
