The Bulgarian State Run Railway (BDZ) Class 10 DMU No. 10027/10 028 arrives at Radomir with a local service from Kjustendil on 12th October 2019. A sizable crowd gathers around a steam charter from Sofia, soon to depart and take the branch to Kjustendil via Zemen. The steam charter has been organised to celebrate 110 years since the opening of the Radomir to Kyustendil branch line. Motive power for the latter is Sofia-based Swiss built Winterthur 3593/1935 Class 2-8-2 No. 01.23. As is clearly evident here, there are precious few rules concerning line safety in Bulgaria.
