Alstom Bulgaria is currently (2022) carrying out overhauls in Sofia on BDZ Passenger services fleet of SIEMENS Desiro EMU and DMU sets, a contract said to be worth 70 million Euro. Introduced in 2007/2008 several of these train-sets have already been withdrawn or even scrapped as a result of accidents and poor maintenance by the Bulgarian State operator. In better days, two-car DMU set No. 10 016/10 015 is captured at Voluyak on 5th October 2016 on service SUB 13204 (16:40) Sofia to Bankja.
