Working the regular NMT Network Rail New Measurement Train from Reading to Salisbury via Exeter New Yard is a pair of LNER Class 43 HST power cars on 29th July 2021. Following reversal at Exeter Network Rail branded power car No. 43290 leads the NMT into the loop at Chard Junction with identical power car No. 43299 working the rear. A pathing stop at Chard Junction is usually required to allow a South Western Railway London Waterloo to Exeter St.Davids service to vacate the single line section from Yeovil Junction.
