Templecombe station is busier then it is on most days of the year as Colas Rail Class 67s Nos. 67023 and 67027 standing in for the usual NMT on 14th December 2017, run through eastbound while working an Old Oak Common to Salisbury via Exeter St.Davids Network Rail Test Train. The footbridge is normally out of bounds and closed off to the general public but not so on this occasion. Could there be a steam train due I wonder? Well, actually, no and yes. THE SHERBORNE CHRISTMAS CAROL rail tour had just passed through heading west hauled by BR Britannia Class Pacific No. 70013 OLIVER CROMWELL supported at the rear by West Coast Class 33/2 No. 33207 Jim Martin.
