The scene at Golemo Selo on 18th May 2023, the location of the massive Bo-bov Dol power complex in southwest Bulgaria. This is the destination for the regular flow of open-cast coal workings by the private operator TBD. Scores of Bo-bov Dol hoppers are present but sadly no locomotives on site at the time of my visit. The Golemo Selo station building is just visible on the extreme left-hand side of the image but is no longer served by BDZ passenger services from Dupnitsa. The branch from the latter is now only used for the inbound coal and associated workings.
