Bulgaria's Rhodope Mountain Railway has two stations in Velingrad. The not so photograhed Velingrad-Jug (Velingrad South) is pictured here. Situated in the far southwestern area of the town it appears to be unstaffed apart from a cleaner and a chap operating the nearby road crossing barriers. Henschel B-B Class 75 diesel No. 75-008 slows for the stop with southbound train service SUB16221 (10:50) Septemvri to Avramovo on 18th March 2024. The morning and afternoon FAST services do not stop here.
