Bulgarian railway architecture is diverse, ranging from the ornate and grand through to something resembling time-expired bus shelters. Not exactly pleasing to the eye, Levski station falls somewhere mid-way between the two, a product of the Soviet era when functionality had prominence over aesthetics.
