Pure former Southern stock re-united with a former Southern main line. The May The Fourth Be With You railtour on 4th May 2024 organised by the Branch Line Society involved the London Transport 4TC set top and tailed by Swanage-based Class 33/0 No. 33012/D6515 Lt Jenny Lewis RN and GBRF Class 73/1 No. 73136 Mhairi which are captured here running through Cranbrook just east of Exeter. The tour had originated at Eastleigh earlier in the day running via Westbury, Bath and Bristol to Exeter. At Westbury no less then three Class 59s, 59202, 59101 and 59104, were added to the front of the train, piloting on the Westbury to Exeter Central sector. At the latter the 59s were removed and duly returned L/E to Westbury. Following its release from the Class 59 trio D6515 heads for the capital now running as the (14:40) Exeter Central to London Waterloo via Yeovil Junction and Salisbury.
