Septemvri on the BDZ (Bulgarian State run Railway), Sofia to Plovdiv main line, is the interchange station for the Rhodope Valley narrow gauge railway. Septemvri is also the location for the lines maintenance facilities and where the fleet of Class 75 and Class 77 locomotives are based. German built Henschel B-B Class 75005 comes off shed to attach to a four coach consist that will form the (13:20) departure to Dobrinishte on 16th June 2016. Carriages on the right hand side over the inspection pit are undergoing interior cleansing while on the opposite side stand an array of engineers wagons. And beyond, the formidable Rhodope Mountains!.
