The sun is about to drop below the horizon at Voluyak station on 21st October 2024. One final shot before heading for home is this image of BDZ SIEMENS DESIRO DMU Set No. 10-001/10-002 arriving from Sofia Central working SUBURBAN train service 60203 to Pernik. This service will take the predominantly freight only route to Pernik via Hrabarsko, Razmenna and Pernik-Razpredelitelna. Generally only two passenger services in each direction work this route each day (Peak time services only). Curiously the destination screen is displaying Kyustendil to Gyueshevo, a route between two towns in the far south west of the country. How Bizarre! Waiting for the road towards Kostinbrod and Slivnitsa are TBD TP electric loco 46-014 and diesel 06-302 with a westbound rake of empty coal hoppers for the Beli-breg open cast mine.
